El Topo by Jodorovsky: Check. 70’s spanish surrealism, it was pretty surreal alright.
Also, Comedian (2002) with Jerry Seinfeld and Pi (1998) by Aronofsky, check and check. Pi was intense.

My redesign of the original poster, made for a school assignment back in 2005.
This is “Blow-Up” from 1966.
A still of one of the greatest scenes ever, in the movie “The Hudsucker Proxy”, by the Coen brothers.
The Hula Hoop, you know, for kids!
Following up on my Jarmusch-post, I have similar “projects” with other directors, them being the Coen brothers, Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Darren Aronofsky, Akira Kurosawa, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Terry Gilliam, Hayao Miyazaki and Quentin Tarantino. And maybe Woody Allen.
So, let’s make more lists!

Jim Jarmusch, maker of great movies.
I am in the process of finding and viewing all his movies. I own 4 on DVD, and download the rest until my economy picks up again.
I like the laidback style, always good soundtracks, and great actors that he uses in several movies, like Roberto Benigni, Tom Waits and Bill Murray.
Current “to-do” list:

I watched Ghost World again, great movie! Then yesterday I got hold of the original graphic novel. It was also really good, slightly different storyline, but that is to be expected. I love the drawing style.
In one nostalgic scene Enid finds an old record from when she was a little girl. Did a search on Spotify and found the song, listening to it as I read the novel. I really love when things kinda melt together like that!
